Welcome to Navy Inn Lodging

Navy Inn Lodging, located along D Street at NAS Point Mugu in California, offers a straightforward and functional coastal stay. With a solid 4-star rating, it appeals especially to visitors keen on exploring the scenic beauty of the coastal highway Route 1, stretching from San Diego to Monterey. This lodging is nestled near a quiet, uncrowded beach, perfect for those who appreciate serene ocean views and outdoor activities such as beachside equipment rentals, tent, and RV camping.

The accommodations reflect a blend of basic comfort and dated elements. Guests often note the absence of air conditioning, though space heaters and fans are available to manage temperature, which might feel limiting during warmer months. The rooms come with updated fixtures, kitchenettes, and cable TV, enhancing convenience during longer stays. Attention to daily housekeeping, such as garbage removal, bed making, and restocking essentials like Keurig coffee pods and towels, stands out positively, with friendly front desk service adding a welcoming touch.

The facility may show signs of aging, with some reports of minor pest issues and thin linens, which slightly detract from the otherwise clean environment. The lack of on-site dining, pool, or fitness center positions Navy Inn Lodging as more than a traditional resort—this is a practical choice for guests who prioritize location and affordability over luxury amenities.

Free Wi-Fi and parking, along with accessible features, support a seamless, uncomplicated visit. The overall atmosphere is calm and unpretentious, making it ideal for travelers who seek to immerse themselves in the natural surroundings and recreational opportunities rather than indoor distractions. The lodging’s proximity to the beach and the naval base offers unique charm and convenience for military visitors and coastal explorers alike.

In essence, Navy Inn Lodging is a modest sanctuary—unassuming but reliable. It respects the rhythms of the coast, catering to those who value tranquility, scenic excursions, and practicality over high-end luxury. For travelers aiming to connect with the Pacific coastline’s rugged beauty, this inn provides a sincere and thoughtfully maintained base camp.

No heat or AC in the room, but they so have space heaters, but no AC. Ants in the room when I arrived. Comfortable bed, but thin sheets.

Clean, slightly old and deteriorating facilities, limited eating options. Nice quite, not over crowded beach with fair, basic bathroom facilities, some equipment rental right in the beach, tent an RV camping available.

Great front desk service! Daily: garbage taken out, bed made, Kerig coffee pods replaced, towels laundered. Updated fixtures in the rooms and the kitchenette, cable tv

Thank goodness they had a vacancy. Great location when your taking the beautiful drive on coastal highway rt 1 from San Diego to Monterey and the base is beach front. No the lodging building. No AC, but I just used the fans. The price outways the little issues.
